We’re a group of dog agility enthusiasts who live in the Central Florida area. Our main venue is NADAC (North American Dog Council). However, we also trial in CPE and AKC. We are particularly interested in working distance in the ring.
Amanda Nelson is well known for her distance handling skills and she has been traveling the country and teaching seminars for 20+ years. She has traveled around the world to Australia, Japan, Netherlands, England, and Switzerland teaching all levels of agility for nearly all dog breeds. Amanda focuses on teaching teamwork as well as how to create a strong connection between dog and handler. She works with all styles of handling, from running with your dog to distance handling. Her training techniques consist of a large amounts of targeting, food rewards, and toy rewards. Creating a fun learning environment for the dog encourages a fast, fun, and motivated dog in the agility ring.
We will be hosting two seminars with Amanda Nelson in January of 2021. Amanda’s “Bonus Handling Seminar” on January 18 & 19 focuses on working at a distance, while her “Course Work Seminar” will include course analysis, strategies, and how to get the most from your dog in various settings. This will be a powerful week for you and your dog – regardless of your running style or venue of choice!
